Copernicus Lodge is a 228-bed long-term care home that provides a nurturing and supportive environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of its residents. With a focus on both residential care and community engagement, the home offers a mix of private and basic rooms, ensuring that every resident has access to 24-hour nursing and personal care. The facility prioritizes the Polish community, celebrating its rich cultural heritage through regular activities and services, including daily Roman Catholic mass and Polish cuisine available in the dining room. The long-term care home is equipped with a secure dementia unit, providing specialized care for residents living with cognitive challenges. Access to a range of health professionals, including doctors, physiotherapists, and nurses specializing in foot care, wound care, and behavioral support, ensures that residents receive comprehensive medical oversight and personalized attention. In addition to essential services such as laundry, housekeeping, and medication management, residents can enjoy recreational and social programs designed to enhance their quality of life. Pet therapy is also offered, bringing joy and companionship to residents. Copernicus Lodge extends its commitment to care through additional services such as restorative care, dental, vision, and hearing care, available for a fee. The home features short-stay care options, providing respite for caregivers and allowing residents to access the same services as long-stay residents for up to 90 days per year. The Adult Day Program offers social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other related conditions, supporting both residents and their family caregivers. With a focus on community and cultural connection, Copernicus Lodge creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere where residents can thrive and feel at home.
