About Us

Fairview Lodge is a state-of-the-art long-term care home with 198 beds, nestled on a beautiful 12-acre piece of land. The brand-new, three-storey residence exceeds Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards, offering a modern, comfortable, and environmentally friendly home for residents. The community prides itself on providing a warm and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. It is committed to fostering an atmosphere of community and family, with core values of Courtesy, Attitude, Responsibility, and Excellence shaping its approach to care and support.

Levels of Care

The community offers three levels of care: Light Care, Medium Care, and Heavy Care. Light Care is for residents who can manage most activities of daily living but may require supervision. Medium Care is designed for residents needing assistance and supervision with daily activities. Heavy Care is for residents requiring total care with most activities of daily living.

Accommodation Options

Accommodations consist of 48 private rooms, including 26 in a secured unit and 3 bariatric rooms, 96 semi-private rooms with shared bathrooms, and 54 standard rooms. The layout and design of the rooms prioritize accessibility and comfort for residents.

Support Services

Support services include 24-hour nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), and Personal Support Workers (PSWs). Medical care is ensured through a dedicated medical director and a Nurse Practitioner, with access to therapies from an Occupational Therapist and a Physiotherapist. Daily living assistance covers a range of needs such as catheter care, colostomies, dialysis, incontinence management, mechanical lifts, oxygen concentrators, oral suction, and wound care. Additional services include medication management, medical supplies, and emergency call systems.

Amenities

The residence features a variety of shared amenities including activity and dining rooms in each resident home area, a hair salon, a tuck shop, a church/chapel, cable television, and facilities for foot care and dental care. The community also provides secure outside areas and a fenced yard for safety.

Activities

Recreation programs are delivered by recreation programmers and include day, evening, and weekend social activities to promote socialization and engagement among residents. Regular activities are organized to encourage participation in both individual and group-based settings.

Dining

Dining services include meal tray service for infirm residents and family dining available by booking. There are dining rooms located in seven units, and a Registered Dietitian oversees seasonal menus and food quality to ensure nutritional support.
