Southampton Care Centre stands as a dedicated 84-bed long-term care home, thoughtfully designed to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for residents requiring 24-hour nursing and personal care. The residence features a variety of accommodation options, including 18 private rooms, 29 semi-private rooms, and 37 basic rooms, ensuring that individual preferences and needs are met. Residents benefit from access to a doctor and a team of health professionals who deliver consistent medical oversight and personalized care, fostering a sense of security and well-being. Essential services at Southampton Care Centre encompass bedding and furniture, laundry and housekeeping, meals, personal hygiene supplies, and necessary medical equipment, including catheters, ostomy bags, and wound care supplies. Staff members are dedicated to assisting residents with medication management and activities of daily living, promoting dignity and comfort in every aspect of their care. The community also offers a variety of recreational and social programs that enrich residents' lives, encouraging engagement and connection. In addition to standard care, Southampton Care Centre provides a range of specialized services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, restorative care, and palliative care. Residents can also enjoy advanced foot care, hairdressing, and therapeutic activities such as music, pet, and art therapy. The presence of a volunteer program and pastoral care, supported by 14 area churches, further enhances the holistic approach to care, addressing both physical and emotional needs. The home also features four interim beds designated for hospital patients awaiting long-stay admission, ensuring that these residents receive the same comprehensive services as long-stay residents.
