The Peter D. Clark Centre is a long-term care home that offers a welcoming and supportive environment for residents, with a total capacity of 216 beds, including five interim long-term care beds. The residence is thoughtfully designed with two distinct buildings: the "Houses," featuring two floors, and the "Bungalows," which is a secure, single-floor facility dedicated to specialized dementia care. This unique layout is complemented by an underground service link that enhances accessibility and convenience for residents and staff alike. The home provides a variety of room options, including 126 private rooms at a preferred rate and 90 basic two-bed rooms, accommodating couples who wish to reside together whenever possible. Each room is equipped with essential amenities, such as ensuite bathrooms and emergency call systems, ensuring residents' comfort and safety. The community also features inviting living spaces, including family dining areas and a country kitchen available for reservations, where residents can enjoy meals in a social setting. Dining services include meal tray options for those who may be ill, with alcohol permitted at the discretion of a physician. The Peter D. Clark Centre prioritizes the well-being of its residents through a range of specialized programs and services. These include a Behavioral Support Program and a Psychogeriatric Program, in partnership with Royal Ottawa Specialty Resident Care Services. The home also features secure coded access doors and conducts nightly resident checks to maintain safety and security. Additional amenities enhance the quality of life, such as air conditioning in common areas and individual rooms, a pet visiting program, and recreational services that include entertainment and special outings.
