Temiskaming Lodge is a 128-bed long-term care home that provides a nurturing and supportive environment for residents requiring 24-hour nursing and personal care. The residence features a variety of accommodation options, including 80 private rooms, 11 semi-private rooms with 22 semi-private beds, and 24 basic rooms with 44 basic beds. This diverse arrangement allows for personalized care tailored to individual needs, ensuring that each resident feels comfortable and secure in their living space. The home offers comprehensive medical support through access to a doctor, nurse practitioner, and other health professionals, ensuring that residents receive ongoing medical oversight and assistance with daily living activities. Essential services are provided, including bedding and furniture, laundry and housekeeping, meals, personal hygiene supplies, and medical equipment such as catheters, ostomy bags, and wound care supplies. Staff are dedicated to assisting residents with medication management and all activities of daily living, fostering an environment of dignity and respect. In addition to fundamental care services, Temiskaming Lodge offers a range of recreational and social programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents. These include palliative care and pastoral care, as well as hairdressing and barber services. The home also emphasizes wellness through group exercise and falls prevention programs, which are conducted by Life Mark Physiotherapy. These classes aim to improve strength and balance, helping to prevent injuries and falls among residents.
