About Us
MCITY Support Services is a Black-owned home and community care provider headquartered in Whitby, Ontario. Founded in 2022, MCITY holds the Accreditation Canada Primer Award, is a BBB Accredited Business rated A+, and is a Certified Supplier with the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council. The company provides personal support, nursing, companionship, palliative and respite care in clients' homes, and supplies personal support workers, nurses and food service staff to hospitals, long-term care homes and retirement residences. Every caregiver is directly interviewed and holds a clear Vulnerable Sector Check and current First Aid and CPR certification. Care is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Levels of Care
Personal and Nursing Care • Personal hygiene: Bathing, showering, dressing, and grooming. • Toileting and mobility: Incontinence care and transfer assistance. • Medical support: Medication management, reminders, and wound care. • Specialized care: Palliative care, Alzheimer's and dementia support, and special needs care. Daily Living and Support Services • Household help: Light housekeeping and meal preparation. • Companionship: Friendly visits, emotional support, and social outings. • Errands: Grocery shopping and appointment accompaniment. • Specialized transitions: Transitional, prenatal, and postnatal care.

Initial Assessment Overview MCITY Support Services
Once we have received the care request we then schedule a free care consultation with the client and family which lasts from 30-60 minutes. During the free consultation, the nurse will gather information about the client including current health conditions including any lifestyle deceases like diabetes, doctor's orders that are in place, client directives(example: DNR), Medications, likes/dislikes, length of services required etc. From the information gathered during the free consultation a care plan is developed, schedule determined, a caregiver is assigned and an introduction of the caregiver to the client is scheduled.
