Whimble is an Ottawa-based caretech company redefining how personal care is delivered. We connect individuals with disabilities and seniors to experienced, vetted caregivers for on-demand support—when and where it’s needed most. Built to fill the gaps in traditional support systems, Whimble ensures that last-minute cancellations, unexpected needs, or short-term support requests never leave someone without care. Our mission is simple: to create a world where care needs do not limit personal freedom. Our approach to care is fundamentally different. Whimble is designed around flexibility, speed, and client control. Clients direct their own care, choosing when, where, and how support is delivered, while our platform matches them with qualified care providers based on their specific needs and availability. Every care provider is thoroughly vetted and insured, ensuring trust and quality at every interaction. The result is a seamless, dignified care experience that adapts to the client—not the other way around. We provide a wide range of personal care services, all centered around Activities of Daily Living. This includes support with bathing, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, and mobility. Clients also use Whimble for occasional or seasonal tasks like decluttering and closet switch overs, housekeeping, errands and companionship. Beyond in-home care, Whimble also delivers on-site personal care at events and while traveling—enabling individuals to fully participate in their communities without barriers. Whether it’s a one-hour shift or ongoing flexible support, our services are designed to meet people exactly where they are. Whimble has emerged as a leader in accessibility innovation, partnering with major organizations such as Hockey Canada, Ottawa Tourism, and the Canadian National Exhibition to deliver on-site care at large-scale events and set a new standard for inclusion. We were honoured with the City of Ottawa's inaugural Accessible Ottawa Award in December 2025, and as we expand into new markets, we continue to push the boundaries of how human-centered care can be delivered.
