Pathways Retirement Residence is a 128-suite, smoke-free environment situated on the corner of Shannon and Trunk Roads. It offers assisted living and a comfortable lifestyle for both active and less active residents in a caring and dignified environment. Residents have the choice between living alone with all the responsibilities of maintaining a private residence or living in a social and secure environment. Levels of Care
Pathways Retirement Residence offers assisted living and has a dedicated 'Assisted Living' floor for residents needing added support. It also provides short-term convalescent care for individuals who require assistance after hospitalization but are not ready to return home.
Accommodation Options
Pathways Retirement Residence offers 128 suites with a variety of options to fit different budgets and lifestyles. All suites include blinds on windows, an ensuite three-piece bath with built-in safety features, resident-controlled thermostat, air conditioning, emergency call system, cable television and telephone outlet hookups, a private mailbox with key lock, and fire detection devices and sprinkler systems. Some suites include a kitchenette with a bar-sized refrigerator.
Support Services
Pathways creates individualized care plans for each resident, with the Director of Care working closely with residents and their families. Support services include personal care assistance, dressing, medication management, and assistance with activities of daily living. The residence offers 24/7 access to caring and professional staff, emergency call systems, and physician recommendations. Convalescent care includes a furnished private suite with ensuite bath, 24-hour access to health care providers, and emergency call systems.
Amenities
Residents at Pathways have access to a variety of amenities, including an in-house beauty salon, a large craft room, a library with an extensive collection, a large private outdoor courtyard with walking paths, a private dining room for special occasions, an outdoor patio, and a games room featuring a pool table, shuffleboard, games, and card tables. On-site spiritual services and a seamstress are also available.
Activities
Pathways offers a wide range of activities designed to promote physical, spiritual, social, and cognitive well-being. Regular activities include live entertainment, karaoke, movie nights, bingo, trivia nights, and community engagement. Exercise programs include a range of motion routine approved by physiotherapists. The craft room is available for residents to use at their leisure, with regular crafting activities noted on the events calendar. Evening entertainment occurs at least three times per week, featuring music talent or dancing expertise. Special events include Mother’s Day tea, a fall colors bus trip, a Halloween costume party, a Christmas tea and bazaar, a Christmas lights tour, and a New Year’s Eve party.

Pathways is known for tasty, nutritious meals and delicious desserts served in the dining rooms. Alternative choices are available to accommodate preferences, dietary restrictions, or allergies. Guests are welcome, with a private guest dining area available for entertaining. Dining services include well-balanced meals prepared fresh daily, accommodations for special dietary needs, and snacks, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit available every day.
