Levels of Care
Victoria House offers two levels of Assisted Living programs. These programs are tailored to meet the needs of each resident based on an individualized care plan. Partial Assisted Living Programs include prompts for activities of daily living such as hygiene, mealtimes, appointments, and activities. Full Assisted Living Programs include Personal Support Worker care for all activities such as rising and retiring care, personal hygiene, movement in the building, incontinent care, and toileting.
Accommodation Options
Victoria House offers a selection of room sizes with all-inclusive pricing, making it easy to determine monthly costs without unexpected service fees. Base room prices include 3 meals a day, weekly housekeeping, weekly laundry service including ironing, and 1 assisted shower per week. Towels, toilet tissue, and shower curtain are provided.
Support Services
Victoria House provides 24-hour emergency response, medication dispensing, and routine safety checks. Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, showering, incontinent care, toileting, and safe transfers are available through the Assisted Living programs. A certified foot care technician attends once per month to provide foot care to residents for a fee.
Amenities
Victoria House features an in-house Hair Salon where contracted stylists offer weekly appointments for hair care services. The residence offers card-controlled building access, a private mailbox, and proximity to a waterfront park and bus stop. Heat control is available in each unit.
Activities
Residents are encouraged to continue pursuing their favourite hobbies and activities. The monthly activity calendar offers a variety of opportunities to partake in interactive events which develop friendships and meaningful connections. Activities include a lending library for books and movies, board games, musical entertainment, spiritual meetings, special events such as BBQs and themed dinners, and exercise classes provided by the Victorian Order of Nurses SMART Program weekly.
Dining
Victoria House understands the importance of nutrition in supporting overall good health, well-being, and vitality. Cooks ensure a variety of choices are presented, with seasonal fruits and vegetables offered, making dining a pleasurable experience. All special diets prescribed by a physician will be adhered to, such as low sodium, healthy heart, gluten-free, and diabetic diets. Snacks are available 24 hours a day.
