About Us
Nestled in picturesque Northumberland County in the town of Brighton and ensconced adjacent to a beautiful apple orchard, Applefest is located approximately 90 minutes outside of Toronto. With only 67 suites, the care team is able to focus on creating an intimate and comfortable setting, making the most out of each and every day with the residents. Applefest offers a selection of spacious suites ranging from small to large. Residents are among friends here, enjoying a relaxed environment and providing loved ones with peace of mind, comfortable in the knowledge that they are happy and safe.
Levels of Care
The independent supportive and assisted living programs offer services to seniors who are generally over 75 years of age, who may require a variety of care and support services including assistance with activities of daily living. Each individual's needs and preferences are unique, and a care plan is collaboratively developed to ensure the best quality of care and support. The goal is to be as flexible and collaborative to residents' wishes as possible. Respite stays are also available, offering short-term accommodations for those in need of assistance following surgery or an illness.
Accommodation Options
The residence offers a choice of three different models of suites, including small, medium, and large studio suite options. Each suite comes with a full private ensuite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy. The large suite features a dividing wall for added space.
Support Services
The residence provides a 24-hour emergency response system, ensuring peace of mind and wellness of body for all residents.
Amenities
Open, bright, and spacious, the common areas are welcoming places to take part in a variety of programs and events. Residents can join a lively discussion with a guest speaker in the multipurpose room, find a new read in the library, or connect with a friend over a snack and a drink in the bistro. The computer lounge offers a place for online research or checking emails, while the convenient tuck shop provides easy access to essentials. The lovely outdoor courtyard is a favorite spot for recharging, socializing, or birdwatching.

It's easy to be social with interesting activities and amenities right at the residence. A range of leisure and life enrichment programs are tailored to residents' interests, enhancing physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual well-being. At The Applefest, the food service team prepares flavorful and healthy dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients. In the airy, welcoming dining room, residents can enjoy a variety of well-presented classic entrees, delicious soups and salads, desserts, and freshly-made snacks.
