The residence offers 24-hour supervised care by registered staff, access to facilities offering additional medical care, and routine physician visits as well as weekly visits by their nurse practitioner. It is supported by the Gwyneth and Donald Metcalfe Memorial Fund, ensuring all travel costs associated with social activities are free for residents. Partnerships are in place for dental, hearing, mobility needs, lab services, mobile X-ray imaging, specialized nursing, foot care, and hair care services. Behavioral Supports Ontario (BSO) works with a mobile team in partnership with the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.

Families and friends are invited to participate and even run activity programs in the home. Special theme days and monthly Residents’ Council meetings are also part of the program.
