Parkwood Seniors Community is located at the corner of University Avenue and New Hampshire Street in the heart of Waterloo. Operated by the not-for-profit Fairview Parkwood Communities and supported by 23 Mennonite and Brethren in Christ congregations, Parkwood has proudly served the region for nearly 60 years. This campus is a true Continuum of Care community, thoughtfully designed to meet the evolving needs of older adults. It provides dignified, faith-based support for every stage of life within a warm, welcoming, and well-connected neighborhood.
Levels of Care
The community offers a range of living options including Independent Living, Supportive Living & Assisted Living, and Long-Term Care. Independent Living Apartments at Parkwood Suites feature bright, spacious one- and two-bedroom units, ideal for older adults looking to live independently while being part of a supportive community. Supportive Living & Assisted Living is designed for residents who require occasional or regular support, with professional caregivers available for assistance with daily activities such as medication reminders and personal care. Long-Term Care provides compassionate, 24/7 professional nursing care for residents with higher health or mobility needs, focusing on a faith-based, resident-centered approach.
