About Us

When a family realizes a parent needs more support at home, the next step can feel overwhelming. Qualicare Burlington & Oakville has helped families in Burlington, Oakville, and Dundas navigate that moment for over 12 years. We provide private, nurse-guided home care — personalized to the person, not a checklist. Same caregiver, consistent schedule, clinical oversight built in. We're here when the public system isn't enough, and when your family needs someone you can actually count on.

Levels of Care

We offer three levels of care, depending on where your loved one is in their aging journey. - Companion & Independence Support: regular visits for companionship, light household help, meals and staying socially connected. Ideal for seniors who are managing well but benefit from consistent company and a watchful eye. - Daily Living Support: hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, mobility help and medication reminders, from trained PSWs with a consistent schedule and nurse oversight. - Complex & Changing Needs: intensive support for dementia, Parkinson's, chronic conditions or recovery after a hospital stay, with RN-supervised care plans that adjust as needs change. Every level includes a nurse-led assessment and the same caregiver at every visit.

Approach to Care

We start with a simple question: what matters most to you? Not just what you need help with, but what a good day looks like. Good home care is about helping someone keep living the way they want to, in the place they call home. That's the heart of Qualicare's 360° Approach. Every client begins with a nurse-led consultation, not a sales call, so we understand the person and not just the diagnosis. From there, we build a care plan around their routines and preferences, keep the same caregivers at every visit, and maintain clinical oversight at every level of care. When something changes, and it always does, we adjust before it becomes a crisis. Families don't just need good care. They need to trust that someone is paying attention. That's what we're here for.

Care Team

Every Qualicare Burlington & Oakville client has a care team built around their specific situation. At the centre is a Personal Support Worker: a trained, consistent caregiver who handles day-to-day personal care, companionship and household support. All care is clinically overseen by our Nurse Manager, a Registered Nurse who conducts the initial in-home assessment, writes the care plan, and remains the point of contact for any clinical changes. For clients with more complex needs, nursing visits are built directly into the care schedule. We don't rotate caregivers. We match each PSW to a client before the first visit based on personality, routines, care needs and preferences, not just availability, and if something isn't working, we fix it quickly. For dementia, Parkinson's and post-hospital care, we assign caregivers with direct experience in those areas.

Certifications, Licenses & Training

- Personal Support Worker diploma - CPR/First Aid - Vulnerable Sector Check - Qualicare Academy certifications - Registered Nurse oversight - Member of the Canadian Home Care Association

Initial Assessment Overview Qualicare Home Care Burlington & Oakville

Every new client begins with a free in-home consultation with our Registered Nurse. It's a clinical assessment, not an intake call, and it looks at the full picture: physical health, memory and mood, home safety, the strain on family caregivers, and the day-to-day factors that affect how someone is really managing. From there, our RN develops a personalized care plan covering care tasks, caregiver matching, scheduling and the health indicators we'll monitor over time. The family is part of the conversation from the start, so before care begins you'll know exactly what the plan includes, who is coming into the home and how to reach us. Care doesn't start until the plan is in place and the right caregiver has been found. Send us a message to book your free consultation.
