Why are you passionate about home care?
After a long, successful career in automotive engineering and project management, I saw first hand how difficult it was for families to find reliable and passionate care for their loved ones when my mother had a debilitating stroke. This was a life changing moment for me, and I knew that there was a need for high quality personalized care services to help families in the same situation.
What are you most proud of about Memories+ Home Healthcare?
I am most proud of the caring culture that we have created and the incredibly talented care team who serve our clients needs in the community. I feel like the level of care that we provide to our clients is what I would expect for my own family.
What do you believe Memories+ Home Healthcare does particularly well?
The one thing that we hear positive feedback about the most is the personalized touch that we provide and the compassion of our care team. Before we even start with a new client, we do a free in-home assessment to get to know their medical history, needs, goals, interests, and most importantly, who they are as an individual. Putting the best possible caregiver match in place with a detailed understanding of our clients needs is what really makes a difference!
What does going above and beyond for a client look like at Memories+ Home Healthcare?
At Memories+ we try to cover all the bases for our clients. If they need groceries, we can arrange that. If they need someone to take them to an appointment, we can do that to. The options are really quite endless.
What makes Memories+ caregivers special?
The people entering a client’s home should represent much more than clinical or caregiving skills. They represent your values, reputation, and commitment to families. At Memories+, we believe exceptional care begins with exceptional people. When we select someone to represent Memories+ in a client’s home, we look beyond qualifications and experience. Our caregivers are chosen for qualities such as compassion, patience, reliability, respect, and empathy. We want people who take the time to listen, build relationships, and recognize that every client has their own personality, preferences, routines, and life story.
What do you love most about working with older adults and their families?
Our culture and our passion is caring! What we love most about working with older adults and their families is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life every day. Older adults have a lifetime of experiences, stories, accomplishments, and wisdom. We believe they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, patience, and genuine compassion. Taking the time to listen, build trust, share a laugh, or simply provide reassuring companionship can be just as important as the practical care we provide. At Memories+, we don’t see our role as simply providing home care. We help people continue living with purpose, independence, connection, and dignity—and we support the families who are walking that journey every step of the way.
What’s something about Memories+ Home Healthcare that families probably wouldn’t know from looking at a website or brochure?
Something families may not fully see from a website or brochure is how personally invested we become in the people we care for. At Memories+, we don’t see ourselves as simply providing a caregiver for a scheduled number of hours. We get to know the person! – their personality, routines, interests, and the little things that make them feel valued. We also understand what families are going through because Memories+ was born from a personal caregiving experience. I experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to balance caring for someone you love with work, family, and everything else life demands. We genuinely become attached to our clients and their families, and we want them to feel that they have someone in their corner. That’s probably the part of Memories+ you can only really understand once you experience us.
What’s one thing you wish families understood about home care before they needed it?
I wish more families understood that home care works best when it begins before there is a crisis. Too often, families wait until something happens—a fall, hospitalization, caregiver burnout, or a sudden decline—before reaching out for help, and at that point everyone is under pressure and important decisions have to be made quickly. Home care doesn’t have to mean giving up independence. In fact, it can mean exactly the opposite. Introducing a little support early can help an older adult remain independent, confident, and connected for much longer. I would always encourage families to think of home care not as a last resort, but as a tool for preserving independence and quality of life. The best time to start the conversation is often before you think you need it.

Tell us about THRIVE 2026
THRIVE 2026 is a community event designed to inspire and enlighten family caregivers, seniors, and healthcare providers with valuable information on healthy aging. Attendees will meet local experts, participate in engaging and educational demonstrations, and connect with a panel of industry professionals in discussions on healthy aging.
Why was it important for Memories+ to get involved in THRIVE 2026?
It was important for Memories+ to be involved in THRIVE 2026 because healthy aging is about much more than responding to health problems – it’s about helping people remain independent, engaged, connected, and informed as they age. Our mission has always focused on supporting independence and improving quality of life, and our programs increasingly address the whole person—physical health, cognitive wellness, emotional well-being, social connection, and meaningful engagement. Events like THRIVE also give us an opportunity to connect with older adults and families before they reach a point of crisis. We can have conversations about what healthy aging can look like, share resources, answer questions, and help people understand that there are many supports available to help them continue living life on their own terms. Most importantly, Memories+ has always believed that we have a responsibility to be more than a home care provider. We want to be an active community partner and advocate for older adults. Being part of THRIVE 2026 allows us to contribute to a larger conversation about changing the way we think about aging—from simply growing older to aging well, with purpose, dignity, choice, and connection.
How does THRIVE 2026 connect to the community, or the older adults and families you serve?
THRIVE 2026 connects directly to the community because it brings older adults, families, professionals, and community organizations together in one place around a shared goal—Helping people to age well. Navigating aging can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are questions about health, independence, cognitive changes, social connection, safety, and what services are available. Community healthy-aging events like this help close that information gap by making resources and knowledgeable people more accessible For Memories+, we see THRIVE as an opportunity to listen. Being face-to-face with older adults and their families helps us better understand what they are experiencing, what concerns them, and what they want their lives to look like as they age. THRIVE also reflects something we strongly believe: That healthy aging is a community effort. No single healthcare provider, family, or organization can do it alone. When we bring people, knowledge, services, and community resources together, we create a stronger support system that helps older adults continue to live with independence, purpose, dignity, and connection. It allows then to THRIVE!
