Thrive 2026 Newmarket: Free Healthy Aging Event | November 4

Elderado – October 28, 2026

What does healthy aging look like, and what options are available as our needs change?

Those are some of the questions being explored at Thrive 2026, a free community event hosted by Memories+ Home Healthcare on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in Newmarket.

We caught up with Harvey Dix from Memories+ Home Healthcare to learn more about the event, who’s invited and what attendees can expect.

What Is Thrive 2026?

Thrive is a day of learning, conversation and community connections for older adults and their families.

Harvey explained that the inspiration for Thrive 2026 came from attending traditional health fairs, where visitors can sometimes leave with bags full of brochures but feel overwhelmed by the amount of information.

Thrive takes a different approach.

Rather than filling a room with dozens of exhibitors, the event brings together a smaller group of community experts.

The goal is to help attendees have meaningful conversations, ask questions and leave with practical information they can use.

What Can You Expect at Thrive?

The day includes interactive activities, expert panel discussions and opportunities to speak directly with local organizations.

Morning sessions will focus on healthy aging, including brain health and gut health, followed by discussions with experts.

Afternoon sessions will explore physical and emotional well-being, including guided movement and meditation, as well as options for the next chapter of life.

Attendees can also learn about retirement living, aging at home, home adaptations, hearing health, financial planning and estate planning.

And you don’t have to stay for the entire day. Harvey confirmed that visitors are welcome to attend just the morning or afternoon, although he encourages people to experience the full event.
